Wadi Al-Seer or Wadi as-Seer, is the 14th district out of the 27 districts of the Amman Governorate, named after a prehistoric queen that dominated the area, Queen Seer. It consists of ten neighborhoods, a number of which are residential, different business, or both. Wadi Al-Seer district consists of ten neighbourhoods; Al-Rawabi, Swefieh, Jandaweel, Al-Rawnaq, Al-Sahl, Al-Diyar, Bayader, Al-Sina'a, Al-Kursi and west Umm Uthaina.
Wadi as-Seer neighbourhood is a small low-earnings town at the outskirts of the Greater Amman Municipality. It consists of a few Ottoman buildings from the early 20th century. 10 kilometres outdoor Wadi as-Seer are the ruins of the Qasr al-Abd citadel and the related caves of Iraq al-Amir. Wadi as-Seer town includes a widely recognized ancient courthouse, an old castle, an entire Ottoman-fashion neighbourhood status on extremely steep hills which can be enveloped by using European slim streets. The location is on the extreme outskirts of the metropolis and overlooks some of the mountains that the town is built on.
