Saga Prefecture is in the northwest of Kyushu, the southwesternmost of Japan's principle islands. Saga was the capital of Saga Domain in the Edo time frame, and biggest city of previous Hizen Province.It's known for conventional ceramics made in its northwestern towns of Arita, Imari and Karatsu.
