About Kaga
Kaga Province turned into a province of Japan within the vicinity that is nowadays the south and western part of Ishikawa Prefecture within the Hokuriku area of Japan. Kaga bordered on Echizen, Etchu, Hida, and Noto Provinces. It became a part of Hokurikudo Circuit. Its abbreviated form call turned into Kashu. Koshi Province Koshi no Kuni was an historic province of Japan and is listed as one of the original provinces inside the Nihon Shoki. The region as an entire changed into on occasion referred to as Esshu .
In 701 AD, in keeping with the reforms of the Taiho Code, Koshi became divided into 3 separate provinces: Echizen, Etchu, and Echigo. In 823 AD, the 2 eastern districts of Echizen Province Kaga and Enuma had been separated to shape Kaga Province. Kaga became therefore the ultimate province to be created under the ritsuryo machine. The identical year, the northern part of Enuma District became Nomi District, and the southern element on Kaga District became Ishikawa District. Kaga District itself became renamed Kahoku District.
