Elat
About Elat
Elat also spelled as Eilat is Israel's southernmost metropolis, a hectic port and popular lodge on the northern tip of the Red Sea, at the Gulf of Aqaba. The city's seashores, coral reef, nightlife and wasteland landscapes make it a famous destination for domestic and global tourism. Home to 50,724 human beings, Eilat is part of the Southern Negev Desert, on the southern give up of the Arava, adjoining to the Egyptian village of Taba to the south, the Jordanian port town of Aqaba to the east, and nearby of Saudi Arabia to the south-east, across the gulf. Eilat's arid wilderness climate and coffee humidity are moderated by proximity to a heat sea.
Eilat averages 360 sunny days a year. The beginning of the call Eilat, an area name discovered within the Old Testament, isn't definitively recognised, but probably comes from the Hebrew root A–Y–L, which is likewise the root for the word Elat, which means Pistacia tree. Like severa different localities, Eilat is cited in the Bible each in singular and plural shape.
