Suryapet

Suryapet is a city and the area central station of Suryapet region in the Indian territory of Telangana. Government of India reported Suryapet to be created under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation AMRUT scheme. Suryapet has been granted the "Cleanest city" in South India by the Ministry of Urban advancement in Swachh Survekshan 2017. Suryapet sits at the intersection of three National Highways connecting it to other states. There is immediate network of Four Lane Express Highway from Hyderabad to Suryapet and Suryapet to Vijayawada.

It lies on the National Highway 65 and is equidistant from the Hyderabad and Vijayawada. It is otherwise called "Entryway of Telangana". It is situated around 134 kilometers 83 mi east of the state capital, Hyderabad and furthermore it is situated around 138 kilometers 86 mi west of the Andhra Pradesh state capital, Amaravathi. Previously suryapet is known as Bhanupuri, which is modernized into the name Suryapet. Suryapet Hi-tech Bus station is the fourth biggest transport station in Telangana after Hyderabad, Nizamabad and Karimnagar transport stations. There are three transport stations in Suryapet. Tourists come here from all over the world with their family members and friends to visit and enjoy this place.
