Sirkazhi

Sirkazhi is a city town in Nagapattinam area in Tamil Nadu, India. Sirkazhi was a piece of Thanjavur area until 1991 and has later been a piece of Nagapattinam locale. It is regulated by a second grade region. Sirkazhi is a piece of the Cauvery delta area and horticulture is the real occupation. Its nearness to the ocean implies that Sirkazhi gets more precipitation than neighboring towns. Sirkazhi is a piece of the Cauvery delta area and has water system channels, called the Kollidam channels, which convey water from the streams and give a rich store of prolific sediment before achieving the ocean.

Amid the British Raj, Sirkazhi was known for mats made with a sort of cyperus. The central station of the taluka and panchayat association organization, and numerous administration workplaces are situated in the town. There are no significant enterprises inside the town, aside from a few rice plants.
