Raigad

Raigad is a district in the territory of Maharashtra, India. Earlier called the Kolaba region, the area was renamed after Raigad, the post that was the previous capital of the Maratha pioneer Shivaji Maharaj, and is situated in the inside locales of the region, in thick woods on a west-bound goad of the Western Ghats of Sahyadri run.
