About Palanpur
Palanpur is a city and a region of Banaskantha region in the Indian province of Gujarat. Palanpur is the authoritative base camp of the locale. Palanpur in early occasions is said to have been called Prahladana Patan or Prahaladanapura after its originator Prahladana, specified in Jain writings. It was a while later re-inhabited by Palansi Chauhan from whom it took its cutting edge name. Others say that it was established by Pal Parmar whose sibling Jagadev established adjacent Jagana town.
Dairy, material, precious stone cleaning and marble are significant ventures of Palanpur. Banas Dairy is one of the biggest dairy in the state. The precious stone cleaning and assessment industry crosswise over India and abroad is ruled by Palanpuri Jain diaspora. Palanpuri Ittars are well known for their aroma and earned the moniker 'city of blooms' to the town. Surmandir is the primary Multiplex of north Gujarat and is currently worked via Carnival Cinemas. Other single screen films are City Light and Movie World.
Palanpur is the first home of the Palanpuri precious stone traders in Surat/Belgium and so on. The town being the central station of Banaskantha area is all around associated by street and rail. Palanpur is an instructive center point of Banaskantha. Amid govern of Jhalori Nawabs, Palanpur turned out to be outstanding for Gujarati ghazals and verse. Samosas are mainstream nibble in the town.
