Murud Harnai

Murud and Harnai are twin villages comprising a wide range of pleasant and serene beaches. In the Dapoli taluka of Ratnagiri, these villages are frequented by visitors all year round. Blessed with natural attractions, the villages are historically significant too. They are located in close proximity to the sea ports such as Sunadurg Kanakdurg and Goa.

These villages are located 225 kilometers from Mumbai and Khed is the nearest railway station. Murud has many beautifully designed temples dedicated to Durga devi, the local deity. It is always on the map for pilgrims. The tiny village of Murud has thick growth of trees on its coastline.

Harnai is a long flat beach with the lofty Sunadurg fort on the horizons. The Sandy beach extends upto Karte and further towards its South. Harnai has a fishing Harbour which is known for fish auctions that take place every day at 6 in the evening.
