Mundakayam

Mundakayam, is a town in Kanjirappally Taluk in the Kottayam District of Kerala. It is the entryway to the high scopes of southern Kerala, and is at the outskirt of Kottayam and Idukki areas. The following closest town, Kanjirappally, is 14 km 8.7 mi from Mundakayam. Mundakayam has elastic estates, and greenery. The Manimala River goes through Mundakayam. It is found 48 km east of the locale central station at Kottayam and 148 km from the state capital, Thiruvananthapuram. The name Mundakayam is said to be gotten from the Mundi cranes that used to be seen along the Manimala River banks.
