Mahbubabad

Mahabubabad is a town and the area base camp of Mahabubabad locale in the Indian territory of Telangana. It is on the west bank of the Munneru, which is one of the tributaries of the River Krishna. Mahabubabad is know for the Bayyaram Miness. In Telugu the significance of 'Mranu' is 'tree' and that of 'Kota' is 'stronghold'. In English it interprets as 'fortress made of trees'. In prior days Manukota used to be secured with a lot of trees like a post. Later it happened to spell as Manukota.

Manukota got its name from one of its past rulers, Mahabub who is one of the authorities, of the then Nizam. Prior to Independence, he once touched base at Manukota where he remained outside the town in a place which is called Shikarkhana. The name of Manukota by the entry of the time, thus changed to Manukota. Mahabubabad Municipality was constituted in 2011 and is delegated a second grade district. The purview of the community body is spread over a zone of 44.99 km2 17.37 sq mi. Mahabubabad has one seat for state Assembly electorate.

Banoth Shankar Naik Telangana Rashtra Samithi TRS was chosen as Member of Legislative Assembly in the 2014 general races. It is a review 2 district. The R.D.O. also, M.R.O. take care of the income organization.
