About Kovvur
Kovvur is a town in West Godai locale of the Indian province of Andhra Pradesh. It is a region and the mandal central command of Kovvur mandal in Kovvur income division. This Town was before alluded as Govur. As indicated by Brahma Puranam, Kovvur Govuru is considered as the place of Gautama Maharishi Ashramam. Kovvuru is a changed name of Govuru which started from the above story. The names of different places around Kovvuru feature this reality. It is trusted that Gautama built up a Vijneswara sanctuary in the South and a Kumaraswami sanctuary in the North of his Ashrama. These are as of now known as Vijjeswaram and Kumaradevam. Where Gautama furrowed the ranch was Arikirevula which is changed to Arikirevu.
Kovvuru Goshpada Kshetram is exceptionally holy place and an unquestionable requirement visit put amid pushkaras. Kovvur is one of the fourteen D– class stations in the Vijayawada railroad division of South Central Railway zone. Kovvur will turn into a Potential Railway intersection Between both Telugu States After Completion of Kovvur-Badrachalam street Railway line. The vehicle is essentially upheld by the nearness of extensions crosswise over Godai River, for example, the Godai Bridge, which is the second longest railroad connect in Asia; and the Godai Arch Bridge, appointed on 14 March 1997 for Howrah– Chennai primary line.
