About Karjat
Located in the Raigad district near Navi Mumbai, Karjat is a picturesque village in the state of Maharashtra dotted with lush green agricultural fields and farm houses. It is encompassed by the mountain route of Bhor Ghat, in the Western Ghats. The river Ulhas which originates in Karjat and flows westward offers many water sport activities to the trekkers. The ancient Kondana Caves and the beautiful Ulhas Valley are two prominent destinations nearby Karjat. Of late, Karjat has grown into a nice picnic spot by foreign travelers as well. Karjat is undergoing a major transformation in terms of infrastructural development and tourist facilities.
