Jaunpur is a district in Varanasi in the State of Uttar Pradesh in India.Jaunpur is Situated in the bank of
the Gomti River. One of oldest and beautiful fort in U.P & well maintened . its just in heart of Jaunpur
city near to Sahi pull sahi bridge on the bank of Gomati river all old structure with huge garden in
front of main building . Not much to see but if you are near by Varanasi and have spare time then must
visit .Great location to hang out for history lovers.
In Jaunpur some historic places are Atala Mosque, Atala mosque is decorated with arched niches and
Stone screened windows. Jhanjhari Mosque , on the bank of the River Gomti.It was a aresidence of
Ibrahim. Some of the stones fro jhanjhar mosque were used in the construction of the Shahi Bridge.
Jama Mosque , Jama Mosque located on the Shahganj road near the purani bazaar. This mosque is
decorated with Egyptian style. Lal Darwaza Mosque, it located on the 1.6 km North of Jaunpur.
