About Indergarh
Indergarh is a town and a nagar parishad in Datia district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is trusted that the name of this town was before Dard which later progressed toward becoming Indergaon. The leader of Indergaon was Indersen Jat. He developed a solid fortress here, that gave this place the name Indergarh. The Jat rulers were of Dondaria gotra. Lt. General Khem Karan Singh was additionally from this group. That time it was focal point of gathering of income of 58 towns.
Raja Balwant Singh Doderiyan Jat faction in around 1650 A.D established the Jat State of Indargarh. He is presumed to have had a genealogical patrimony around Shivpuri, somewhere in the range of 65 miles West of Gwalior. Regardless of whether he emigrated under pressure from Shivpuri or more brilliant prospect abroad allured him, or was lured far from his local Shivpuri by guarantee of a bigger patrimony by the Bundela Chiefs of Orchha Datia, still remains a puzzler.
Raja Balwan Singh's new realm in the Trans-Sind Region at first included approximately 40 towns along the South Bank of the Sind in the mediating tract among Datia and Seondha. As the territory of Datia was generally weaker than that of Pichor, it is to be derived that the realm of Indargarh may have been used as an advantageous support by the Bundela boss to contract Pichor's extension South of the Sind.
