About Hoshangabad
Hoshangabad also known as Narmadapuram is a City and a municipality in Hoshangabad district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is a city in the focal India area, on the south bank of the Narmada River, and is the regulatory focal point of Hoshangabad District. The city is named after leader of Narmadapuram, Hoshang Shah. The city was before called Narmadapuram after the Narmada River. Later the name was changed to Hoshangabad after Hoshang Shah, the primary leader of Malwa.
Hoshangabad locale was a piece of the Nerbudda Narmada Division of the Central Provinces and Berar, which turned into the territory of Madhya Bharat later Madhya Pradesh after India's freedom in 1947. The city is well known for its delightful ghats along the banks of the Narmada waterway, Sethani ghat is a noteworthy fascination. There are beautiful festivals in the city on Narmada Jayanti. Amid festivities this year the CM d the endeavors to rename the town. A Satsang Bhavan on the ghat has consistent visits by Hindu holy people who hold general religious talks on Ramcharitmanas and Geeta. Sethani ghat is an imperative point of interest of the city, on the banks of River Narmada. It is around 7 km downstream from the conjunction of Tawa and Narmada waterways.
