About Hesaraghatta
Hesaraghatta Lake covers an area of 1628 sqm and has been supplying fresh water to Bangalore since 100 years. This man-made lake was built by the erstwhile Chief Engineer of Mysore M.C. Hutchins, is counted amongst the largest artificially designed fresh water reservoirs.
The lake is fed by waters from the Arkavathi River that originates from the Nandi Hills of Kolar District.

Cycling Event: Hesaraghatta is a famous spot that lures cyclists from all nearby regions to infuse in the picturesque beauty of the area. The actual trail for cycling is a stretch of about 35km that lets cyclists explore the local pastoral beauty of Hesaraghatta. Cycling in Bangalore in Hesaraghatta area is an attractive activity for those who are occupied in a busy schedule. The cycling event starts at about 02:30 PM from Bangalore and covers a stretch of about 25km before reaching the halt at Nrityagram. Water and some refreshments are provided at some places and there you can stretch your legs before moving on to Hesaraghatta. You will reach the Bangalore city by 6;30 on the evening
Vasant Habba:
One can visit the famous event of Vasant Habba in Nrityagram, where all kinds of tribal folklores and tribal dances are performed by the locals of the place.
