Gokak

Gokak or Gokaka is a taluka headquarters in the Belagavi District of Karnataka state, India. It is situated around 70 km from Belagavi at the juncture of two waterways, the Ghataprabha and the Markandeya. The number of inhabitants in the town is as indicated by 2011 enumeration is roughly 135,773. The basic dialect being used is Kannada.
