About Diphu
Diphu is the headquarter of Karbi Anglong district in the state of Assam in India. This small town is a popular tourist hill station for people of nearby cities. The town is home to numerous indigenous networks and different networks from rest of the nation, the Karbis, Rengma, Dimasa Kachari, Tiwa Kachari, Bodo Kachari, Garo Kachari being the significant clans of the area. The town really shows the quiet and agreeable conjunction among them.
It houses sanctuaries, places of worship, mosques and a gurudwara. The town commends all the real celebrations together with much fun-admission. Rongker, Bushu-Dima Wangala, Bihu, Sikpui-Ruoi, Christmas, Durga Puja, Diwali and different celebrations are commended with intensity and bliss. Diphu is a Dimasa dialect for White Water. Di mean Water, Phu mean White. Generally, it is stated, the stream in diphu convey substantial measure of silt amid blustery season, giving it the shade of white, thus the name White Water. Diphu is situated at 25.83°N 93.43°E. It has a normal rise of 186 meters 610 feet. It is around 270 km by street and 213 km by railroads from Guwahati. The town is wonderfully situated on a slope.
