About Dewas
Dewas is a city on the Malwa level in the west-focal piece of the Indian territory of Madhya Pradesh. It is the sixth most crowded city of Madhya Pradesh. It is situated around 142 km 88 mi southwest from Bhopal, and 33 km 21 mi from Indore, and is the managerial focal point of the Dewas District. The city was some time ago the seat of two 15-firearm salute august states amid the British Raj, Dewas Junior state and Dewas Senior state, led by the illustrious Maratha 'Puar' or 'Pawar'. Dewas lies upper east of Indore, southeast of Ujjain, and southwest of Shajapur. Dewas is known for Devi Chamunda temple and Devi Tulaja Bhavani temple arranged on a 300-foot 91 m ridge, Tekri.
An expansive trip of stone advances prompts two hallowed places to the goddesses, Choti Mata Chamunda Mata and Badi Mata Tulja Bhavani Mata. Various different sanctuaries spread over Tekri can be investigated by walking. Shri Sheelnath Dhuni at the Tekri lower regions is a position of love for devotees of Saint Sheelnath Maharaj's of Gorakh Nath Sumpradaya. Sheelnath Maharaj had a place with a regal group of Jaipur and later turned into a Yogi of Gorakh Nath Sumpradaya, who lived in Dewas in his seniority. The Pawar Chatries close to the Meetha talab of Dewas are models of Maratha design in the zone.
