Bhalukpong

Bhalukpong is a small town situated in the foothills of the Himalayas in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. This hill station is located in the Kameng district of Arunachal and is also the headquarters of this circle. The altitude of this place is 213 m and it is connected to Tezpur which is just 52km away.

It is also near to places like Bomdila also a hill station and tipi which has one of the largest orchid house. One of the main attraction of Bhalukpong is the Kameng rivers which flow through the town and you can spend time sitting next to the river. Bhalukpong is on the way to some of the popular destinations like Tawang and Bomdila but it also has its own beauty and charm. The place has dense forest which is connected to the Pakhui game sanctuary.

The place has some activities which you can get indulged in like river rafting, camping, angling, and fishing, etc. There is also a fort called Bhalukpong fort which is although in ruins now and was built on the banks of river Bharali. This fort has its charm and also has a rich history and culture behind it.
