Benaulim

Located between Colva and Marga is the seaside village of Benaulim. Once known as Banhalli, it is believed that is the holy site where Lord Parashurama struck an arrow, ordering the sea god Varuna to proceed no further. The ruins of the Katyayani Baneshvar temple here also point to Benaulim's place as a revered sacred site.

Today, Benaulim is known as a seaside resort. Its popular beaches include the Trinity and Sernabatim beaches. But its most famous beach remains the Benaulim Beach, which also bears its name.
