Hofn

Hofn or Hofn Hornafirdi is an Icelandic fishing town in the southeastern part of the United States. It lies near Hornafjördur fjord. The most important economic activities in Hofn are fishing and tourism. Fishing involves each sea fishing and processing and packaging inside the factories; one essential fish processing manufacturing unit, Skinney-Pinganes is one of the largest fish factories within the east part of Iceland, which employs a huge wide variety of human beings.

The most important production of those factories is bacaloa and processed lobster. Herring and capelin are also processed. Ten large and some of smaller boats function from Hofn. During the summer season tourist season, journeys are organised to the close by Vatnajökull glacier. The surrounding region has served as a filming vicinity for characteristic films such as the James Bond films Die Another Day and A View to a Kill, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and Batman Begins. Recently a music within the 2015 Bollywood movie "Dilwale" has been shot in the surrounding regions.
