About Matthias Church

The House of Terror Museum honors the casualties of both the Communist and the Nazi administrations in Hungary.

The building filled in as the previous headquarter of the ultra-right Nazi party in 1940, and its storm cellar was utilized as a jail.

Amid Communism, the building was assumed control by the State Security Hungarian iant of the KGB.

Hundreds, or maybe even thousands, were tormented in the House of Terror.
