About Zwickau
Zwickau is with about 90,000 inhabitants, the 4th biggest town in Saxony and middle within the southwestern a part of the country. A place named territorium Zcwickaw was first cited in 1118. Hard coal becomes mined here and inside the surrounding location for almost 800 years. The town therefore became the middle of the Zwickau coalfield.
As until 1806 electoral metropolis Zwickau changed into in the Kingdom of Saxony seeing that 1834 to 1835 district headquarters, from 1874 the seat of the district governor after 1939 Zwickau district and 1907 turned into a county level metropolis.
