About Zeulenroda
Zeulenroda is a German town in the district of Greiz in the province of Thuringia. Zeulenroda-Triebes is situated in the south of Greiz in the mountains of the Thuringian Slate Mountains, on the fringe with Saxonia. The population of Zeulenroda-Triebes in 2006 was around 18000. The biggest organization is Bauerfeind AG. The most acclaimed sight in the town is the neoclassical town corridor, worked in 1827. So Zeulenroda-Triebes is known for the International Women's Cycling Tour Thuringia. Zeulenroda-Triebes is twinned with the town of Strabane in Northern Ireland just as with Giengen a der Brenz.
Jurgen Raab, a previous East German football player, was conceived in Zeulenroda-Triebes. Paul Herman Geithner 1902-1972, conceived in Zeulenroda and moved with his folks to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1908. His grandson, Timothy Geithner, the 75th United States Secretary of the Treasury, serving under President Barack Obama. Zeulenroda und Bf station lies on the Werdau-Mehltheuer railroad. Zeulenroda was referenced in a record as ahead of schedule as 1325. The town turned into a town in 1438. Zeulenroda had a place with the territory of the House of Reuss Elder Line for a few centuries.
