Wildflecken

Wildflecken is a municipality within the Bad Kissingen district, on the border of northwestern Bavaria and southern Hesse. Wildflecken is within the picturesque Rhon hills and nature-park. In 1937 the German Army installed a huge schooling region inside the Rhoen area. Northeast of the village a camp, huge enough to house approximately 9,000 infantrymen and 1,500 horses become built. The camp and education-region was in most cases utilized by the German Army as well as through the Waffen-SS.
