About Sondershausen
Sondershausen is a town in Thuringia, Germany, capital of the Kyffhauserkreis district, arranged around 50 km north of Erfurt. On 1 December 2007, the previous district Schernberg was fused by Sondershausen. Until 1918 it was a piece of the territory of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen. Sondershausen is arranged in North Thuringia and lies in low mountain run between Hainleite in the north and Windleite in the south. The most elevated mountain is the Frauenberg toward the west of the town. A little waterway called Wipper courses through Sondershausen. Around the town there are blended timberlands.
In the Sondershausen Palace there is an enormous historical center with three distinctive display regions. Extraordinary displays are the Golden Coach, the main of its sort in Germany, and the amazing Pustrich. There are possibly unique guided voyages through demonstrationdepot, basement, tower and park of the stronghold, as well. Under the city there is a mine to visit. To visit is a Jewish shower from the 14th century since 1999 under the exhibition on the Schlossberg.
