About Rudolstadt
Rudolstadt is a city inside the district of Saalfeld Rudolstadt inside the Free State of Thuringia, Germany. The former princely residence Rudolstadt is nestled in a woodland-surrounded valley and runs like a ribbon alongside the wide arc of the river Saale. The city became first stated in files in 776 and has been municipal regulation seeing that 1326. Its landmark, which can be seen from afar, is Schloss Heidecksburg, which towers above the town.
Rudolstadt is thought for the anchor stone kits of the employer Richter and its porcelain manufactories. From 1599 to 1920 it became the capital of Schwarzburg Rudolstadt. On the winery in Oberpreilipp became a fortified hilltop settlement. The recovered finds come from the outgoing urnfield time and the start of the Iron Age. A Celtic accompanied the Germanic settlement and belonging to the Thuringian state. From the length after 500, a partial agreement of Slavs on archaeological unearths has been detected. 776 the area was first referred to in files as Rudolfestat as a donation of Charlemagne to the monastery Hersfeld.
