About Olbernhau
Olbernhau is a small town in the Erzgebirgskreis in Saxony. The City of the Seven Valleys turned into first documented in 1434. The beginnings of the village Olbernhau lie inside the duration of the 12th and thirteenth centuries. The Bohemian nobleman Slavko von Hrabischitz donated in 1196 the Cistercian monastery Ossegg, also to look for ores within the upper Flohatal. The oldest documented record dates from 1434. From this contract shows that Olbernhau was offered to the patrician Caspar von Berbisdorf.
The oldest evidence of mining sports dates from 1511. With the Reformation in 1539 Olbernhau have become an unbiased parish. 1556 turned into first noted a faculty. The first stone church was inaugurated on 2 November 1590. Around 1684 the first human beings in Olbernhau started to supply cans. 1690 was constructed inside the Rungstocktal the first Olbernhauer Rohrschmiede. 1708 brought the rifle manufacturing facility 12,000 rifles to the Saxon military. A new school became built in 1748. The first training health practitioner is detectable in 1777.
