About Freital
Freital is a town in the region of Sachsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. The town is arranged on a little stream, the Weiberitz, and is 8 kilometers southwest of Dresden. Freital is found southwest of Dresden in the Dohlen Basin, through which the Weiberitz streams from south-west to north-east. The Windberg slope, is the town's nearby mountain and surely understood milestone, ascending around 100 meters over the valley floor. The most reduced piece of the town is where the Weiberitz enters the domain of the city of Dresden.
The two waterways, the Red Weiberitz and Wild Weiberitz, converge in Hainsberg, an area of Freital. Different tributaries of the consolidated Weiberitz in the Freital territory are the Wiederitz, Poisenbach and littler, predominantly canalized streams like the Vorholzbach, Burgker Bach, the Birkigter Bach, the Somsdorfer Bach and the Weibiger Bach. There are no regular lakes; the following lake close to the slag pile and the Zauckerode maintenance bowl were both built in the 20th century. Topographically, the Dohlen Basin is a Rotliegendes dejection that was shaped toward the finish of the Carboniferous time frame. It is situated between the Elbe Valley zone and the Ore Mountain gneiss massif.
