About Brand Erbisdorf
Brand-Erbisdorf is a town in the district of Central Saxony, in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. It is arranged 5 km south of Freiberg. Starting at 2017, the town has a population of 9,544. The town is first referenced in 1209 as Erlwinesberc, despite the fact that it was before referenced, amidst the 12th century.
The long custom of silver mining around the town arrived at an end in the start of the 20th century. It was simply after 1945 that the mining business reapplied to a constrained degree, before at long last shutting in 1968. From 1900 onwards, different ventures started to grab hold in the town, gradually mining as the essential business. Of these were most outstandingly the wood business beginning from the Ore Mountains and the "first class works". Grete Beier 1885-1908, little girl of the then Mayor of Brand, which is the last individual to be executed in Saxony for homicide.
