Guerande

Guerande is a medieval town situated in the departement of Loire-Atlantique in western France. The occupants are alluded to as Guerandais, for men, and Guerandaise, for ladies. The Guerande Peninsula disregards two differentiating scenes: the "Pays Blanc" White Land, due to its salt bogs, and the "Pays Noir", with the Briere peat swamp. Since 2004, the medieval town of Guerande has been an individual from a national system of 120 towns, the Villes et Pays d'Art et d'Histoire Towns and Regions of Art and History.

The sustained mass of Guerande is a standout amongst the best safeguarded and complete in France. The Guerande Peninsula is encompassed by water. It extends from the Atlantic Ocean West to the Briere Regional Nature Reserve East, and from the stream Vilaine North to the Loire's estuary South. Guerande is in the core of the landmass called "Guerande Peninsula", alongside different towns, for example, La Baule, Croisic, Pornichet, Batz-sur-Mer, Pouliguen, or Piriac.

The names of the four entryways are:

• The Saint-Michel entryway – the fundamental door, Originally, the entryway was involved by the Captain of the City, who was the delegate of the specialist of the Duke of Brittany in Guerande. After Brittany's unification with the Kingdom of France in 1532, the Captain of the City surrendered his power to a French Governor.
