About Pradosh Vrat

This fast is kept in the honour of Lord Shiva. It is generally kept on thirteenth lunar day of the lunar fortnight i.e. on Trayodashi Tithi. Each hindu lunar month consists of two Trayodashitithi's, i.e Shukla PakshaTrayodashi and Krishna Paksha Trayodashi. Fast and Pradosh time puja are the main things that are done on this day. Prodosh time usually starts one and half hours before the sunset. All the Devotees of lord Shiva are very particular about following this vrat in his honour.
