Narak Chaturdashi
About Narak Chaturdashi
Naraka Chaturdashi also known as ‘Naraka Nian Chaturdashi’ is an important festival for the Hindus. It is observed on the ‘Chaturdashi’ or the fourteenth day of the Krishna Paksha or the dark fortnight, in month of ‘Kartik’ as per the Hindu calendar. Naraka Chaturdashi is celebrated as the second day of the 5-day long celebrations of Diwali, and celebrates the victory of Lord Krishna after defeating a demon named ‘Narakasur.’ It is celebrated everywhere with great enthusiasm.
