Sendafa

Sendafa is a metropolis and separate woreda in primary Ethiopia. Its call is taken from the Oromo call for a form of thick, jointed grass or reed which grows in swampy regions. Located in the Oromia Special Zone Surrounding Finfinne of the Oromia Region, Sendafa has a latitude and longitude of 9°09′N 39°02′E with an elevation of 2514 meters above sea stage.

The town lies at the paved Addis Ababa - Adigrat dual carriageway, a few 38 kilometers north of the capital. Concerning climate, Sendafa has a slight temperature; June, July and August are important wet season. The metropolis has one senior secondary college, which began enrolling students in 1987. Sendafa enjoys exceptionally moderate technological centers as compared to different towns of the same size in its Zone. Major public establishments right here include the Ethiopian Police College and the Sendafa military camp. The 2007 country wide census mentioned a total population for Sendafa of 12,298, of whom 6,373 have been men and five,925 have been women. The majority of the population stated they practised Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, with 84.15% of the populace reporting they practised that belief, 11.38% were Muslim.
