Kerteminde

Kerteminde is a town and previous market city on East Funen with 5,898 inhabitants, located 21 km northwest of Nyborg and 19 km northeast of Odense. Kerteminde is a municipal seat in Kerteminde Municipality and is placed inside the Region of Southern Denmark.

Finding cash from Svend Estridsen's time suggests that around 1050 there were activities instant where the city is nowadays. Around 1225 there was a fish market, but best in 1350 does Kerteminde appear as a metropolis call whilst a service provider from Lubeck mentions the city as Kertemunde in Pheonia, while he donates 5 mark to the metropolis church. Kerteminde have become the market metropolis on December 7, 1413, while Erik of Pomerania gave it the same privileges as Svendborg and Faaborg. Kerteminde included the region "Badsbæk and saw the vest in Lyngsled, then on the opposite manner throughout the Sound and seemed into the dug dike south of the Sound". Around 1415 is supposed Langebro to be constructed, so the metropolis was linked throughout the strait.
