Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
Being the second-largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala that comprises both rare as well as endangered species of both flora and fauna. It is also an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve which was the first out of 14 percent biospheres of India. It is spread over an area of 345 square km comprises both Upper Wayand and Lower Wayanad.
Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is subdivided into two sections named as Muthanga and Tholpetty. Both these regions are situated in the northern and southern side in Wayanad respectively. Banasura Sagar Dam
Banasura Sagar Dam is built along the river of Karamanathodu , a tributary of the Kabini river is a prominent tourist place in Wayanad. The view of the dam from the top is breathtaking. Edakkal Caves
Edakkal Caves are formed by a single stone linked between the slits of huge rocks.
