Jaipur (Pink City)

Jaipur is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City or “Pink City for its trademark building color. Amber was the capital of the Kachhawah till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727.
Amber is generally pronounced as Amber. It was governed by Kachhawah rulers and also was the capital of old Dhundar state of Jaipur. The town was originally named Ambikeshwara and was later abridged to Amber or Amer.

Establishment of this fort was done in 16th century and was initiated during the reign of Raja Man Singh. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder and the ruler of Jaipur city under his resign the fort was personalized.

City Palace and S.M.S II Museum

It’s situated in the heart of the old city, it occupies about one seventh of the old city area. The palace is a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. It houses a seven storied Chandra Mahal in the centre, which affords a fine view of the gardens and the city.

Diwan-E-Am (Hall of public audience) has intricate decorations and collection of manuscripts, Diwan-E-Khas (Hall of Public audience) has a marble pawed gallery Mubarak Mahal has a rich collection of costumes and textiles. There is a Clock Tower near Mubarak Mahal. Sileh Khana has a collection of armory and weapons.

Hawa Mahal

It was built in 1799, by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, is the most recognizable monument of Jaipur. The 5 storied stunning semi-octagonal monument having 152 windows with over hanging latticed balconies is a fine piece of Rajput architecture. Originally designed for the royal ladies to watch and enjoy the processions and other activities, on the street below. Now it houses a well laid out museum. The display “Jaipur past and present” is the special feature of this newly setup museum. Timing 10.00 to 16.30 hrs

This is a small palace is set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. A paved causeway leads up-to the beautiful water palace.

FATEHPUR SIKRI is an ancient city in Agra district in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. This city was built by Akbar, the Mughal emperor in the year 1571.

It was constructed mainly as a tribute to the great Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chisti who had blessed Akbar with a son. His son was named after the saint as Salim and he succeeded the king Akbar and was known as the emperor Jahangir.

Fatehpur Sikri was the capital of Mughal Empire for a short period as the city was abandoned in the year 1585 due to insufficient supply of water. And therefore the capital was then shifted to Lahore.

Later proceed to Agra, check in the hotel, after fresh up in the evening visit Special “Taj Mahal Sun Set view”, later back to the hotel and overnight stay in the hotel.

Agra Fort
The Mughal Emperor Akbar commissioned the construction of the Agra Fort in 1565, although additions were made till the time of his grandson Shah Jahan. Mathura is an important place of pilgrimage in India as it is the birth place of Lord Krishna. It lies at the heart of the Brajbhoomi, a land that is imbued with sanctity, for it was here that the young Krishna was nurtured. The little towns and hamlets in this area are still alive with the tales of his mischievous pranks, his extraordinary exploits and still seem to echo with the sound of his flute. Today, Mathura with its many temples and splendid Ghats along the Yamuna River is an important pilgrimage town. It is also a rapidly growing industrial city. Hindi, English and Brajbhasha are the main languages which are spoken in Mathura.
