Arrive at Saigon meet with a travel expert and get transferred to your hotel.

After an early breakfast, take a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Stroll through the markets of Dong Khoi formerly known as Rue Catinat during the French occupation. This area was once the heart of colonial Saigon and is now the main shopping area. Visit the City Hall, the old Opera House the Central Post office, and the Notre Dame Cathedral all of which are classic examples of European architecture from the colonial era. Learn about the events and effects of the American War at the War Remnants Museum. It comprehensively documents the way the war progressed through photographic exhibitions and displays of tanks and weapons. Finally before you head back to your hotel visit the Emperor of Jade pagoda.

After breakfast, proceed to the Saigon airport and fly to Hanoi. Once you arrive at Hanoi check in to your hotel and head out on a sightseeing excursion. Begin with the Ngoc Son Temple and the Turtle Tower at the Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of Hanoi. From there, head towards the Old Quarter of Hanoi and explore the 36 streets and guilds. Each street is named after merchandise that was traditionally available there. Next up, visit the Museum of Ethnology which displays the cultural and ethnic diversity of Vietnam. The museum has a collection of arts and artefacts from 54 different ethnic groups that inhabit Vietnam. Return to you hotel and unwind.

Depart from Hanoi and head towards Halong Bay. Arrive at the pier around noon and board a traditional junk, which will take you on a cruise through the bay. Lunch will be served onboard while the boat sails past several limestone karst formations including the Stone Dog, Incense Burner, and Fighting Cock. These rock formations give Halong Bay a distinctive look and are named based on their shape and appearance. Stop by the Thien Cung cave and see ancient stalactites and stalagmites that adorn the entire interior surface. Disembark at Halong Bay and head back to Hanoi on road.

After breakfast, head to the airport for your flight back home.
