About Rodas
Rodas is a municipality and metropolis within the Cienfuegos Province of Cuba. It changed into based in 1859 under the call of Lechuzo. In 1879 it changed into renamed Rodas in honour of capitan fashionable Caballero de Rodas. The municipality is divided into the barrios and villages of Cabecera, Ariza, Cartagena, Congojas, Jabacoa, La Union, Limones, Medidas, Santiago, Soledad and Turquino. Until the 1977 administrative reform, the village of Arriete-Ciego Montero, presently within the municipality of Palmira, became a part of it.
It is bordered through the municipalities of Aguada de Pasajeros, Abreus, Cienfuegos, Palmira, Lajas, Santo Domingo and Los Arabos. The municipality is divided into the barrios of Cabecera, Macagua, Monte Alto and San Pedro de Mayabon. The municipality is divided into the metropolis of Aguada and the villages of Carreno, Real Campina, Covadonga and Perseverancia. In 2004, the municipality of Rodas had a populace of 33,477. With a total area of 552 km2, it has a populace density of 60.6/km2.
