About Marti
Marti is a Cuban town and municipality in north-japanese segment of Matanzas Province. The municipality is divided into the barrios of Guamutas, Lacret, La Teja, Marti, Motembo and Rio de la Palma. From 1902 till 1927 the village of Maximo Gomez, became a part of Marti. It is positioned at the north-crucial coast of Cuba, and consists of the lagoons Ingles, Bibanasi and Majaguillar, all extensions of the Bay of Santa Clara. Its territory is crossed via the rivers La Palma, Júcaro and San Manuel.
The Bay of Santa Clara is a bay on Cuba's north coast, placed among the Nicholas Channel and the northern coast of the provinces of Matanzas and Villa Clara. The city become based in 1835 was established in 1835 beneath the name Hato Nuevo on the location of the Bibanosi ranch. On 24 December 1898 the call became modified to Martí, in honour of independence hero Jose Marti.
