About Jelsa
Jelsa is a town in Croatia, on the island of Hvar, the seat of the eponymous municipality within the county of Split Dalmatia. The old metropolis of Jelsa become noted in the Statute of Hvar in 1331. Although the precise area and volume of the historical Jelsa aren't nicely understood remnants of the vintage shielding wall can nonetheless be seen at the west facet of the Gradina peninsula.
