About Grubine
Grubine is a small settlement in the municipality of Podbablje, close to the city of Imotski, Split-Dalmatia, Croatia. The town is first referred to in 1931. Nearby hamlets Mracaj, Matkovici, Zuzuli, Vukovici, Karini and Jonjici have survived on the grounds that 1718, after the Venetians liberated Imotski from Turkish career and returned it to Austrian Dalmatia. A population census changed into taken and the hamlet's names were introduced directly to maps.
At the time, the hamlets have been assigned to the parish of St. Luke Podbablje. The call Grubine originates from the call Gruba, a name not unusual on medieval gravestones, referred to as stecci. Construction has long been the primary profession, specifically due to the development of the Dalmatina dual carriageway and St. Elijah tunnel resulting in severa businesses in the creation enterprise. Given its function close to the fields of Imotski, Grubine inherited an agricultural culture in developing grapes and vegetables. After the crowning glory of the St. Elias tunnel thru the mountain Biokovo in 2013, the Imotski county has turn out to be nicely-related to the Makarska Riviera.
