Liberia

Liberia is the capital and biggest city of Guanacaste area, Costa Rica, found 215 kilometers 134 mi northwest of the national capital, San José, in the canton with a similar name.

The city has been nicknamed la Ciudad Blanca which means the white city because of the white rock that was once used to make the city's streets and the whitewashed frontier houses which are used to make up a substantial piece of Liberia.

It had a populace of 56,899 of every 2013.Modern-day Liberia was established as a seclusion with no legitimate or formal demonstration of establishment on 4 September 1769.

It was situated in a key area where the streets from the towns of Rivas, Bagaces, and Nicoya met. The isolation was utilized essentially a place of rest by explorers.
