Bagaces

Bagaces is the fourth canton of the province of Guanacaste, within the north of Costa Rica. Its head is the homonymous metropolis of Bagaces. It has no outlet to the ocean but it's miles the canton that adjoins with more similar ones within the province, as it shares limitations with Upala, Liberia, Carrillo, Canas, Nicoya and in a small portion with Santa Cruz.

According to the 2011 National Census, the population of the canton was 19,536 inhabitants, of which 8.3% had been born overseas. The same census highlights that there had been 5,615 occupied homes, of which 53.3% were in a suitable situation and there were issues of overcrowding in 6.5% of the homes. 47.4% of its population lived in urban regions. In pre-Columbian instances, the territory that presently corresponds to the canton of Bagaces, a set of natives referred to as Nahua or Aztec, had an enclave or colony within the vicinity. Bagaces inside the route of its existence as a human agreement has had 3 locations.
