About Meizhou
Meizhou is a prefecture-stage town in japanese Guangdong province, China. It has a place of 15,864.51 km2, and a population of 4.33 million at the 2010 census. It incorporates Meijiang District, Meixian District, Xingning City and 5 counties. Its constructed-up or metro place made from two districts become domestic to 935,516 population on the 2010 census. The call Meizhou comes from the Mei River and the Chinese name for the plum blossom.
Meizhou was established as the prefecture of Jingzhou throughout the Southern Han. It became Meizhou on the time of Northern Song dynasty and Jiaying Prefecture during the Qing dynasty.
