About Longquan
Longquan is a county-stage metropolis and former county under the administration of the prefecture-level town of Lishui in southwestern Zhejiang Province, China, positioned at the higher reaches of the Ou River and bordering Fujian province to the southwest. Called Longyuan earlier than the Tang dynasty, Longquan adopted its current call because of the naming taboo of Emperor Gaozu, the founder of Tang whose private call was Li Yuan. Longquan is famous regionally for its swords and Longquan celadon ceramics, each of which are regularly appeared as traditionally the best in China.
