About Baoji
Baoji is a prefecture-level city in western Shaanxi territory, People's Republic of China. The city itself has a populace of roughly 800,000. Encompassed on three sides by slopes, Baoji is in a valley opening out toward the east. Its area is key, controlling a pass on the Qin Mountains between the Wei River valley and the Jialing River. Going through Baoji is the old Northern Silk Road, the northernmost course of around 2,600 kilometers 1,616 miles long, which associated the antiquated Chinese capital of Xi'an toward the West over the Wushao Ling Mountain to Wuwei and developing in Kashgar before connecting to old Parthia.
Baoji is viewed as the portal among western and eastern China since most trains from Beijing, Shanghai and Xi'an go through here on their approach to Gansu, Sichuan, Xinjiang and Tibet Lhasa. Fa Men Si Famen sanctuary, home to one of Buddha's finger bones, is in Baoji County. The Baoji zone was home to the incredible Yandi, one of the Han Chinese progenitors. His tomb is in the southern piece of the city and his sanctuary is in the north.
