Saint-Hyacinthe is a city in southwestern Quebec east of Montreal on the Yamaska River. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census became 53,236. The metropolis is positioned in Les Maskoutains Regional County Municipality of the Monteregie area, and is traversed via the Yamaska River which flows perpendicular to Quebec Autoroute 20.
